Politicians, such as Femke Halsema (GL), Harry van Bommel (SP), Eric Balemans (VVD), Fadime Örgü (VVD) and Joost Eerdmans (LPF), are now getting some idea of what young people are actually concerned about, because they can now also ask them for their opinion using SMS debate.

You can send in political propositions until noon every day. You can do this free of charge through the website, www.smsdebat.nl, or by sending an SMS message containing the keyword, ‘VRAAG’ [question], followed by a space and your question to 4411. Members of Parliament do this as well, and every day an editorial team selects one proposition or question. This question for the day is sent to all participants free of charge precisely at noon.
